Im looking at doing my cable management this weekend and hope in using wall plates to make burying cables into the wall abit easyier. The cables within the wall will be mounted in trunking of course.

But Im wondering if you guys have seen a wall plate with preferebly 3x HDMI, 1x RCA/3.5mm? Minimum, more is fine but thats all i need, I cant find them anywhere :(

also, im looking for good quality cables to bury in the wall, about 4M distance. Can you reccommend some speaker cable, RCA cables? Ive got hdmi covered :)

and again sorry if posted in the wrong place.

Hi Dave,

Wall plates, you could try the following:

Keene Electronics:

Scolmore:

http://www.scolmore.com/documents/new_media.pdf

Both do a range of modular plates, which may suit your installation best. Keene are mail order, but you may have to contact Scolmore to find a distributor - they do a whole range of electrical stuff (all the sockets and downlighters fitted by our builders when we had our house renovated were from them and they are excellent quality - they replaced a couple of dimmer controllers free despite them being damaged by over zealous teenagers not realising that you don't have to bash them to make them go off; I only phoned them to see where I could get replacements from and they sent a couple, free of charge.)

As for cables, having watched many a cable debate descend into farce on this forum over the years, I shall simply say I have a selection of QED cables and am very pleased with them.

Good luck

Rob

im fairly good with the building side, Ill be smashing the wall and replastering everything, Ill have a look at those websites and usually im not a big cable person (personally doesnt make a difference) but since they will be in a wall for the next 10 years I think its worth investing abit of cash so their good quality so nothing breaks.

I dont fancy re-drilling and hammering the wall :wall:
