Hello, I am soon to be moving house and would like a new TV for my bedroom. However, I am yet to be convinced of the merits of LCD, at least toward the lower end of the price range. What I would ideally like is a small-medium sized, 4:3 aspect CRT television. Now I'm aware that high-quality CRT's are no longer made, so that necessitates second-hand, which I am perfectly OK with.
I once went to an art exhibition and a video-installation was being played on what looked like a small (perhaps 24") professional-grade CRT monitor, and the colours were astounding, like nothing I've seen on modern flat-screen televisions. I guess this is the sort of TV I'm looking for. So my question is this: Could anyone suggest a very high-end brand/series/model of 4:3 CRT for me to look for on Ebay and other such used-equipment websites?
As this is a bizarre topic of inquiry, and help would be greatly appreciated, as I don't know who else to turn to for advice. Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon.
