Verification prompt when logged in?

What's the point? When I post replies I often get an annoying verification prompt before being able to post. If I'm already logged in why is this necessary?

It's designed to intelligently recognise content that might be spam, and annoy people or prevent robots who are trying to post it. But it's not very intelligent. I have put you in the 'trusted users' group now though, so you won't get it again.
