That looks really good and is really well designed but............its too expensive.

I'll wait for FiiO's version at £150.

True. I am curious to hear reviews to see how it stacks up against the Fostex HP-P1 or a similarly priced desktop DAC.

Also a big problem to this is that people willing to spend this kind of money will likely want a new iPhone 5 soon after it comes out and this thing most likely will not fit it making it obsolete pretty damn fast. Seems to me like they should have at least waited or not made it so shape specific. Time will tell on that one I guess.

One review noted that the iphone in normal mode (enabled as a phone, 4g etc.) interferes audibly with the DAC or amp. This is critical, since the difference in amps is extremely subtle compared to the difference in various headphones. Of all the other reviews I could find, none mentioned this. I'm not about to turn off my phone just to eliminate interference.
