Stereo amplifiers with the facility to run two sets of speakers.......can these extra speaker terminals be used for bi amping one set of speakers?

Anyone?

No, not usually (if at all). Having two pairs of speaker terminals just means that two pairs of speakers can be driven from the one set of amplifier circuits. To bi-amp, you need two sets of amplifier circuits - hence why you can bi-amp, say, if you have an integrated amp, and are using pre-outs into a power amp - like an Arcam A85+P85.

ok cool......but will it be ok to use both sets of speaker terminals to connect to the speakers. I guess it would be biwiring them, right?

Yes.

Going to try my old Pioneer A-605R (RRP £300, 5 star product 1992-4ish) with the Kef Q500's over the weekend, and compare it to my Denon AVR2310 for stereo playback.....but want to hear the Pioneer 'at it's best', as I currently bi amp with the Denon.....

Can you tell I have a weekend off??
