Upgrading to Marantz CD 6005 - should I replace my Denon SC-M50 speaker?

I am about to purchase a Marantz CD 6005 integrated CD player. I have already a pair of Denon SC-M50 speakers. Can these be used with the Marantz player? Are these speakers still rated as being good quality or have newer systems rendered them inferior?

I'm a complete igmoramus on technical matters and the current jargon is way over my head, so please go easy

The CD6005 is a cracking player I have the 6004 which is older but not a whole lot different. What amp will you be using.

Don't know the Denon speakers seem to be for their mini systems, yes I think you could probably do better but what amp. and budget do you have?
