I'm thinking of trading in my naim 5i-2 set(amp+cd) and rega dac for a unitilite

Would this be an upgrade in Sound Quality?

Keeping in mind I will have to fork out 400£ extra probably for a dealer to trade my set in for the unitilite.

Thx in advance for any advice.

You should make at least £1100 on the CD5i-2/Nait 5i-2 on ebay. (Assuming all mint with original boxes, cable, instructions and packaging.)

I did and that was almost two years ago.

Then you have a Rega DAC to sell as well.

You could be aiming at the Naim UnitiLite instead (and maybe not have to spend as much as £400 extra).

Dealer trade-ins are a terrible way to shift hi-fi gear.

Boils down to your priorities. If you want more flexibility then either the Qute or the Lite will be ideal.

To answer your question re the qute - I doubt it.... depends on your speakers, room and ears though.

You do mention the lite in your post too. Home demo!

Excuse me I was mistaking, want to trade in for unitilite instead of unitiqute, which I hope will have at least the same Sound Quality.

Is the dac in the unitylite any good( meaning better than the rega dac)?

Grtz
