Upgrade dvd player or go Blu-ray

Hi

My current st up is as follows.. Panasonic px80 42", Denon avr 2803, Kef kht2005.2 speaker package and Samsung budget dvd player which was a 5 star winner at the time.

Now I was wondering is it worth me changing to a blu-ray player for example the new sony BDP-360 or will I not appreciate it as the tv is not full HD and I dont intend on changing it just yet and I also do not intend on changing the denon or the speakers. Or would I be better off changing the lot (except tv) and going for an all in one system for example the sony BDV-E300?

The room is about 12.5' by 12'.

You have a good system. The BDP-S360 will certainly be a worthwhile upgrade, in my opinion. Be prepared for a marked improvement in terms of HD picture and sound quality.

I don't believe that the BDP-S360 have multichannel analogue outputs though, in which case you will need to upgrade your amp to one that accepts HDMI. Alternatively, you can keep the Denon and go instead for a blu-ray player that does offer this option, like perhaps the Panasonic DMP-BD80.

The BDP-S760 however, offers superior performance to the BDP-S360, albeit at a higher price, but will come with multichannel analogue outputs as well.

samsung bd 3600 seems to be very good.the philips 7500 also.both have analogue outs
