I have encountered a bargain priced nearly new Wharfedale PC 12+ that is the bigger brother of my current sub, it has a 12inch driver a larger cabinet and 50W increase in Power. Mine is a 10inch 100W. Taking into account the larger size and powe of the unit do you think this could create any problems.

It is possible if you can match the frequency responses using the boost (or ideally get both responses flat or flat as can be) Idedally both subs would be identical but different subs has been done. Are you going to daisy chain them?

Yes I Think i will chain them rather then splitting at source, In fact the subs are very similar, and the bigger one would go a bit deeper, and reducing a bit of volume on both will give much more headroom, my only question is about having two quite large subs in a 15sq mt room, will that be OK.

Why not sell the smaller sub and put its value towards an even better sub? Room size of 15 sq m (should really be cubed m to give volume the sub has to fill) should do with a single sub but only your ears can tell you what sounds good. You should have a sealed sub with enough headway ideally. You need to be able to turn it down to1/2-3/4 level and still be loud enough, this will keep the bass sounding taunt and not distorted.

The Room is about 3 mtrs high so it will be around 45cmt, the sub is going for about 150eu, so it was not that expensive and thought that two subs will work better. the main problem in Malta is you don't find that lot of enthusiasts to sell to, and there is not too muh choice of brands, the only respectable subs availabe would be:

Wharfedale SW250 at Around 450EU, the B&W ASW608 at Around 500EU, and some REL subs at Even Higher prices, so I saw this as an economic alternative..........

Strangely in previous set-up I had a SW250, pretty good little sub. If I had the choice I'd definately go for the B&W ASW608, even at the higher price it seems the best option. Its down to personal choice, two cheaper subs could do the same job, but I think one better sub may give the better results.

Thanks JTD, think i'll have to give it a couple of toughts as the b&W is an 8 inch sub and don't really know if i want to go to a smaller driver, while at 150eu it seems to be little tp loose as I am quite happy with ,y current sub and the second, may add a bit of punch and depth maybe???..........
