TV setup

I'd like to use a DVD (not in a blu ray player) to manage the setup of my TV to make sure all the picture settings are correct. I think that the manufacturer's default settings are not the best available, or the most true to life. Googling produces too much technical detail for me to decide what to buy, and I don't need any advice re the sound, as my hifi is ok.

Can anybody help me ?

Do you mean a calibration disk?

I use spears&munsill,but its in blu-ray format.
