TV picture problem

Hi

i have a Toshiba CV505 32" which is connected to a sky box. Every now and then the picture, will change from widescreen to 4:3 format for no apparent reason. It works fine , when you play a DVD, and most of the time works ok when watching sky? Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already checked the settings of the Sky box, to make sure it is set at 16:9.

Is it a fault with the TV?

Have you tried unplugging your SKY box for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in again. My box has some weird quirks, like locking up or saying channel unavailable on all channels. Pulling the plug works a treat.

Also check to see if any of your cables have worked loose. Sound crazy but my old tv was terrible for it.

My old sky box was always doing this with my old telly. It did not matter what the settings were if the picture being transmitted was 4:3 the skybox would change the settings to 4:3 on the TV (or the TV would not sure which). Sometimes it would jump back even if re-set maunally.

Sounds like a loose scart to me...........
