Right, ok I think I remember that sealed spindle myself! I've found the following bearing oil advice for the Dual on another site:

"Before reinstalling the platter, change the bearing oil. Some bearings are sealed, so there's nothing you can do, but if, when you lift the platter, the spindle comes with it, use a long Q-Tip to get down into the shaft and absorb the old oil. Wipe any remaining oil from the spindle, then add a drop or two of fresh sewing-machine oil or any good-quality synthetic motor oil. A little goes a long way, so don't go nuts. Reinsert the spindle and platter onto the shaft, but don't push down. Let the weight of the platter slowly displace the oil. After the spindle is fully inserted, remove it and check the oil level using the spindle as a dipstick. If the oil line indicates at least three-quarters full, you're done. If you overfilled, clean up any excess oil that was forced out of the housing and reinstall the platter."

You will see from the 2nd sentence that there may be an issue with sealed bearings, although you may find under the plastic inner retaining ring a spring clip wire that could be removed (be careful it doesn't fly off and get lost if you do) and this may free the spindle and allow you to do a proper oil change. However, it's been many years since I owned one myself so unfortunately I can't give any more detailed advice - although hopefully there may be current Dual owners on here who can?

Well the slight wobble by itself probably won't affect the sound as it is no worse than the slight warp of most records. However, the second clip shows that the inner platter is not not spinning freely, which would confirm to me that the issue is indeed a lack of oil, and this could lead to a bit of 'rumble' due to the friction.

There should be some sort of a way to get some new oil in there, but I'm not sure myself what steps you need to take to get access to the bearing. As no one else seems to be coming forward on this forum withy Dual advice, I would definately try and ask on other forums - if you search around there are some hifi forums that are very much vinyl and turntable orientated and who have plenty of retoration experts that should be able to help.
