Finally manged to build a nice dedicated cinema room, and after making do with a sony davs880 all in one system for many years now, i've decided to get out the old credit card and buy my dream (as far as my credit card will allow) set up, already ordered a Onkyo 875 as a start.
Ever since i was a kid, i always wanted some B&W speakers, so ventured into sevenoaks and asked for a demo, the sales assistant got them out and also recommended some MA RS6's so listened to them both and found the B&W's a little on the bass heavy side where as the MA's seemed a little bit more in control. Now here comes my question and please forgive my ignorance, but i am stretching myself a bit finacically as it is and just want to make sure i get it right first time. Now as i've said, i've always wanted B&W's (childish i know) and was a little concerned about the bass that i heard, but i should point out that i only heard them linked up to a stereo amp as he didn't have the others speakers in at the time, was wondering that as i would be mainly using them for films, would the heavy bass really notice when you are using the onkyo
the two set ups i was considering to get 7.1 were:
B&W 684's
HTM62
and the MT30 Package
or
MA RS6
RCLCR
RSW-12
and 4no R90's
so which set up above would anyone recommend or does anybody have any other recommedations.
thanks for your time, will
