This works on the 2310 (possibly other Denons too).

On the Sky remote:

Press 'TV'
Hold down 'Select' and '0' buttons together (red LED on remote should flash twice)
Enter '1' '3' '8' '8' (LED should flash twice)
Hold down 'Select' and '1' together (LED should flash twice)

Sky remote should now operate the Denon's volume etc.

Hope this is of use to somebody (apologies if it's been posted before!)

Cheers

If you make sure that you've got the remote with you when you climb in the cabinet containing the receiver, I don't envisage you having any problems at all.

Apologies for the facetiousness.

Serious answer: I suspect not, but if you have the opportunity why not give it a try?

I was asking the question, because i am going to get the 1910 or 2310 soon and was just wondering as i have my onkyo 606 in a cabinet at the moment with one door open so as to control sound.
I can not find a code for the onkyo to try.

simoncar:does it still work if the amp is in a cabinet with door shut, thanks. If the cabinet has glass doors it may work,if its got solid doors then no.

You would need an IR repeater kit like this for example

Thanks the doors are solid wood,a slight design flaw(I am a carpenter and i made it myself)maybe the router will have to come out to rejig it a bit or mybe MK2.

I'd suggest giving it another go, but I'm guessing you've already done that.

I believe that programming the sky remote it is a one time entry. If you wish to change the handset to operate another piece of AV equipment you have to reset the handset.

I'd suggest taking the batteries out of the remote over night, although 15 minutes or so might do it. then follow the instructions provided earlier.

If, after trying it, you find you're not happy with it, you can always revert back to your present set up.

Done all of the above on my Denon 2310 and it worked fine with the receiver. One problem though, now my Samsung TV remote wont operate the volume on the TV when the amp is switched off and sound is just running through the TV. Not a major problem but if possible it would be good to have the sky remote functioning for both. Is this possible?
