Hey is it me, or are you supposed to tighten the screws around the woofers and tweeters after a while?

I swear the guy I bought my RSW12 said that give it a couple months and tighten all the bolts as they will losen.

Is this all in my head? I did it anyway, and man those screws were lose... Same as the ones in my head maybe. [:p]

Been meaning to get around to trying this myself, but found I didn't have the correct adjustment tools. Anyway, I've been too busy mucking around with sand and squash balls!

I had some missions which definitely needed 'nipping up'

My current montors audios are locktighted in though

Its basic really, if the woofer can move (Beyond its obvious normal movement) then its at detriment to the sound

Dont think you really needed a torque wrench TBH, unless you are heavy handed, I just used an alan key and be careful not to over tighten and strip the bolt... Stop just as it locks and no more.

My subwoofer, that I just tested, has lost a bit of boom and gained more control, which is a good thing to me, and the subwoofer has not moved position.

I cant belilve how lose the nuts were.

I am going to start doing it every couple months, maybe once a month with the subwoofer.

Thanks for the link.

I did this to my GS60's on Saturday (don't forget the Port screws and the terminal backplate) all needed 1/2-1 full turn.

I only did this after listening to Massize Attack.

Yeah, I appreciate that will work well for most. I found that torquing to the recommended values actually went tighter than I would have done by hand.

By the looks of your avatar, your into bikes, so the torque wrench will come in handy if you buy some carbon stuff.

I had to take my bike to LBS as got some ritchey WCS bars and did not want to crack the carbon.
