Neil Young has given me an incentive to try it out again

I will ditch Spotify for 3 months, as Tidal is offering a trial for the same period for virtually free. And where I reside the normal subscription, offering true CD quality, is the same price as Spotify.

Back to Spotify for the next 3 months. One conclusion though - for the average user using the phone, earbuds and nothing else I think Spotify sounds better at highest quality than Tidal at their best compressed level. In fact you have to stream at Hifi level to get a decent level of clarity on Tidal.
