This Korean/Chinese valve amp any good?

Thinking of buying my first valve amplifier for a pair of Yamaha NS-1000s. I have a small budget and live in Korea. I found this Korean, or maybe Chinese, made model, but there is little information online about it. Any advice would be much appreciated!

No idea, but the Yaqin ones are very well respected.

Can't say I have heard of them either, but that doesn't mean they are bad.

I have a DAC from China from a company called Lite, the DAC-83. Its very well built, great sound. It might be a risk to try it, are you allowed to return if you don't like it?

No idea either. I doubt many on this forum will have heard one. There's some good stuff coming out of Korea. Just look at Stello (April Music) for example, which I have owned.

I love the way that little thing looks ... in a sort of NAGRA way.

There are no pictures of internal wiring/components as are normally usual with Chinese sites but the size alone and spec preclude a lot of power. With valve amplifiers it's (mostly) all in the iron content ie. weight and quantity/quality of the transformers. This one looks small but very cuddleable. Love it (on looks alone). Does it have r/c?

I don't like distortion - in the broadest sense of the term.

You are welcome to use your imagination to describe how my system sounds, on the basis of it using valve amplification. But, how you imagine it sounds and how it actually sounds are 2 different things.

You need to be more accurate! Vinyl undoubtedly means distortion, it comes with the territory. Valve amplifiers do not have to mean distortion. In fact it is easier to design a valve amplifer without distortion than a SS one. Valve amps have other failings but distortion isn't important.
