Well in that case I suggest you look at the Sonus Faber - 'Cremona M' which looks a lot like the Amati in shape etc, but a little smaller and without the high gloss finish. around £7k, but you may get a deal....... otherwise perhaps some second hand Amati's. I know someone found a pair for £10k recently in Graphite - but you may get lucky.....

Cheers

Mr Steve:Would love to see (a) wider picture(s) of the whole setup. Some of us are just left to dream

That doesn't work too well as I have a long through-lounge and the rack with kit on is set back a fair way from the line of the speakers, rather than them being on the same wall, as is often the case in square/rectangular room.......

very very nice

Have you ever considered charging to allow people in to your home for a listen?

I hadn't - no - but I wonder if the idea has got legs on it !?!??!

If you are near Sutton, Surrey - you could pop by for a coffee - bring some CD's ........ !

Lovely system

If you haven't already got any audio grade fuses in your system, i suggest you give them and try and prepare to be amazed. In your system you'll really hear what they can do. Try Hifi-Tuning or Isoclean fuses.

Do you simply get them on-line or from shops ??

Guess I'll have to see what fuses I need somehow, before giving them a try .... are these meant for power cables or in amps etc themselves??

You can get them in some uk shops or online shops or direct from hifi tuning in germany although their site is mostly in german if you know what size and rating you need just send an email and either pay by bank transfer or request them to send a link to pay via paypal.

They do 5x20mm fuses which are the small ones usually at the Ac inlet on components, sometimes in a little draw under the power cord or sometimes internally.

Then UK plug size fuses which are i think 6.3x25mm

Then they do 6.3x32mm which is US size and was the size of the speaker output fuses and DC rail fuses in my amp.

Then they also do a bigger size i think of 10.3x32mm which some power amps take.

The 5x20mm are available as pure silver end caps or as gold plated over silver. The pure silver sound better but will oxidise over time and require cleaning.

Be aware that if components are under warrenty, you may voide warrenty if you remove cover. And remember to unplug from mains.
