Technics SE A909 with another pre amp

Greetings all. I'm thinking of buying a Technics SE A 909. Am I able to use it with another pre amp. Or do I need Technics control unit. Any answers are welcome. Many thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Whilst this power amp was designed to work with corresponding Technics preamp there is no reason to think it can only be used with Technics gear.

You will be able to use with any preamp you like, although I cannot tell you whay the resulting sound quality will be like.

thanks for your response my friend i did initially think that but someone said though the power amp is mains fed the pre amp,being the SU C909U some control circuit which enables the power amp. I dont know how true this is. Thanks again for your welcome.
