Hi

I'm looking at my options for a 5.1 speaker setup and have 2 questions:

1) How do the Arena Lites compare to the 2005.3 or 3005SE?

2) The Tannoys were released 4 years ago; would Tannoy be able to service any faults in a couple of years' time?

Eager to hear your views!

Arena's everytime for me. Match it with a TS300 sub or above and you will be very happy not matter what electronics you have. Build quality is superb and they look superb on the wall brackets.

Thanks for your comments.

My reading of matters is that the Tannoy Arena Lites were rated better than the KEF 2005.2 and close to the 3005SE. I wonder where the KEF 2005.3 fit into the picture. WHF refer to the Arena Lite's sub needing some more oomph ---- is this a significant shortcoming, and is this a reason to swap the TS300 for the TS10?

With regards to the 2nd question, the AVR-M330 amplifier for my (small) Denon home theatre all-in-one developed a fault which the Denon-recommended company could not address as the relevant part was no longer manufactured. This makes me wonder the Arena system would be liable to suffer a similar fate.

I'd be grateful for further help!

The Arena used to come with its own sub but now you can choose any sub with most shops selling the Tannoy TS10 or TS300. Comparing it to the KHT3005 you will need a good sub as the HTB2 from Kef is a decent model.

Tannoy is a huge company and I wouldnt worry about not getting parts.
