sync out on cinema system

i have linked my sony dav f200 up to sky hd with an optical cable for sound but the lip sync seems to be out slightly. is there any way round this problem.

Tvs tend to be slightly slower than av amps, so the sound will come out of the speakers BEFORE the picture is produced. Is there a 'delay' setting (Or DISTANCE setting) on the amp you can play about with?

I had the same problem with my Yamaha YSP900 and Sky HD. I used the link below to solve: http://whathifi.com/forums/t/9421.aspx

Essentially you need to.... go to Sevices > Setup > Sound on your Sky box and alter the delay settings. I had to change mine to 180ms and now it's perfect sync.
