Hello all

I have a 4m wide by 5m long lounge, the tv will be on the one 4m long wall and the sofa will be 3m from it (ie 2m behind listening position). Please could someone advise as to the best location for the 4nr Monitor Audio Silver RSFX's to go.

Is it best for the side speakers to be in front, slightly behind, directly level with the ear or above.

Also the two rears the same question.

I am not bound by any restrictions on location but would prefer to put them high on the walls if poss.

Is there an ideal height?

Many thanks

Surrounds to the sides of the listening position, in line with the seats, at least a little above ear height. Rears (or to be more precise, surround back speakers) on the rear wall, same height

Thanks Andrew

With the RSFX's being either di or bipole would the effects suffer if they were say 5-6ft off the floor nearer the ceiling as opposed to the 4ft you are suggesting?

Cheers

As long as they're not too near to the ceiling, which might cause bass boom problems, they should be fine.

Not ideal, but fine...
