Surround sound on PS3

Hey guys,

I've got a LG DNX-190UH DVD Player and Philips 32PF5321 TV. What I want to know is can anyone recommend a surround system for the LG?. My ultimate aim is to link my PS3 to the Surround Sound system which I believe I have to do via the Optical Cable to the DVD Player.

The PS3 is connected at the moment via HDMI to the TV. If this sounds confusing...it is! please help.

We'll need a budget really to get started. The PS3 will connect to the new amp rather than the DVD player for surround. Ideally, you want to look at getting an amp that can accept Linear PCM through an HDMI port as this will give you the new HD surround sound formats included on Blu-Rays and any games that might have it in the future. Whether you can do this will really depend on your budget.
