Hi there Just wondering if an amp like the supernait would be wasted for mostly cassette deck listening ?

Personally, I feel this amp is totally wasted on a cassette deck, of all things. In fact, it's a crying shame - this is indeed a 'super amp' . It deserves a MUCH BETTER source as it's partner!

I couldn't agree less - Cassette, when played in a good player (the Denon is, but a Nak CR or Dragon would be better) it is nearly as good as CD...

Yes, definitely and more so when played through a good source as oppossed to the cassette deck in it's original format. I've done this myself and it was a significant improvement.

Hmmmmmm, Lets get one thing straight, i have thousands of cassettes, probably 95% more cassettes than i have cds, I collect cassettes you see, and you know when "one" spends upto £500 on ONE rare cassette then "one" starts thinking........well why not buy a hifi system what is worthy of my ultimate cassette collection, thats why im talking supernaits and the like because i want to compliment my treasured collection,
I listen to old skool hardcore from 1989 to 1996, just about every DJ set from that era and that genre of music was put on cassette, all the way up to around 2002,
still to this day as part of a kind of "cult factor" the music/dj sets from proper raves gets recorded to tape as well as cd,
I can go down to reflex records here in sheffield and buy a brand new cassette of many a rave thats taken place over the last few weeks/months
I actually have an over whelming smugness that i could pick up 20 or so of my rarest cassettes and they would be worth more than the majority of this forums high end systems lol

Yes, but when faced with the question of: "Rare cassettes?" or "High-End Hi-Fi?", I'm sure most people would take the latter...after all mate, they are only cassettes (that's cheap tape with some nasty plastic on the outside).
