Subwoofer Set-Up

Have an MJ Acoustics Pro 50, not a Mk11. Would like to connect using both high and low level connections. Do not have the user manual anymore so consulted the MJ website and found the following; "If you are going to connect both high level & LFE inputs at the same time please make sure that your Stereo or AV amplifier does not have a ‘Digital Output Stage’ or is wired in ‘BTL’ (Bridge Tied Load) mode." The MJ is connected to an Onkyo TX-SR606 with Mission 753(which are very light on bass) at the front an AE centre and Mission m74 rears. The main question is; Is it safe to connect both High and Low level on the MJ to the Onkyo?

This sub was manufactured by BK and is still sold by them as a Minotaur so you could always seek advice from them. http://www.bkelec.com/HiFi/Sub_Woofers/Minotaur.htm.

Neither of the caveats applies to the Onkyo you have.
