Hi

Whilst this is my first post I have been visiting these forum for quite sometime. I hope you can offer some advice.

I currently have a PS3, Sky HD, KEF 1005 5.1 system, and a Denon 1507. The system is used 50% for watching Sky HD, 40% PS3 Gaming and 10% Blu Ray. I find the system weak and am totally unimpressed by how complicated the receiver is to use.

I am open to having slightly bigger speakers and have read about the MK K1 package and also have my eye on the RXV1800 which I am told is VERY simple to use. We don't listen to a lot of music but sometimes MTV etc.. Can anyone tell me whether the above system suggestion is going to be any good for Sky HD and PS3 usage? I read somewhere on this forum that the K1 beats anything in that price range.

I want to keep the costs down as best as possible but could spend up to £1500 for a future proof system. Any advice would be great as I am rapidly losing the will to live.

Thanks.

Well ive not heard this speaker package but MK always gets good reviews so i assume their pretty good especially at that price as they where £1500. For slighlty bigger speakers and alternative amps have a look at these.

[*]Quad-lites £500
[*]Tannoy F1 customs £595
[*]Q Acoustics 1010i £450
[*]Kefs 3005se £995.
[*]Amps i would choose to partner these 0nkyo 875 £599
[*]Yamaha RX-V3800 £799
[*]Yamaha AX863se £499
[*]Also a combo at Sevenoaks Yamaha 863se and Kef 3005se for £1449,
[*]The top 3 speaker packages can also be added to with floor stander for fronts to get a 7.1 option.
[*]Try an audition if possible i would love to see the mks with the v3800 bet it sounds great Hifix would be a choice as they have the k1 and yam v3800.
