Watched this movie last night, and was slightly underwhelmed, not only with the movie itself, but also with the blu-ray conversion.
1stly the sound was terrible, with some of the dialogue being almost inaudible, forcing you to turn up the volume, resulting in a near -ear shattering experience during the gun fights. I rectified it by turning up the centre channel, but not ideal.
I think this problem, is well known for this movie, but what I couldn't find on my various searches was any evidence of what I experienced with the picture.
In some of the darker/greyer scenes there was a distinct fixed striping across the screen.
Ive just got a new setup, (B&W Mt-30 with Sony STR-DA2400es and an older Sony BDP-S350 Blu-ray player) and was hoping it wasnt anything to do with my set up and was the actual movie at fault?
I haven't had chance to watch anything else yet, so don't know if it occurs on any other discs. Any idea what could be causing this effect and if I should be worried about my new set-up?
