Hi,

I would like to know how to stream music from my router upstairs to my home cinema downstairs. If I need to I can buy a new device from any company, My issue is getting the software to work with all the different hardware - devices.

If your home cinema amp/receiver is fairly recent it should be network enabled/ready so just plug in a network cable and connect the amp to the network. If you are lucky it may even be wireless enabled in which case go through the menu and activate the wireless function and then type in the network passkey away you go. If you don't have the manual you can download it from the manufacturers website. If the system is not network ready then something like a Sonos Connect could work for you. A bit more detail from you would help others pitch in with more ideas
