strange request - help needed

i want to get a graphic equalizer like below but to hang on the wall with a microphone in it so it responds accurately to music bdeing played - looking for one about the size of a 42 inch tv

Like disco lights that respond to music? How about iTunes Visualiser fed to your telly?

What on earth do you want that for?

I ask, because this unit might not be the best solution. For example, if you want a bit of extra fluff for a disco style party or something there are many alternatives - particularly if you have a PC as your sound source. Check out Milkdrop for Winamp, it comes with it and the visualisations on it are awesome.. and somewhat entrancing at times. You could rig that through your telly - or through an additional little LCD tv you can plug in extra - yeah it will cost more but it's also another screen usable for many things.

so what's your plan?
