Hi all

my existing system comprises an MDAC and audiolab pre/mono power amps. For a while I have been looking to get into streaming but can't seem to find the product I need.

I expect many others have a quality DAC they are happy with and don't need that replicated in a streamer, or a pre amp, or headphone amp or any of the other bits that seem to get added into these products. So my ideal streamer would offer

24 bit, 192khz streaming via coaxial output

ethernet input - not bothered by wireless

cd drive with auto ripping and Internet based bit perfect checking/correction

24bit, 192khz analogue to digital conversion so I can back up my tapes and vinyl to the NAS.

Does anyone know of such a product? I hear the Olive products are no longer available in the UK

This will do most of it, although it's an optical output rather than coaxial, however it won't do

"24bit, 192khz analogue to digital conversion so I can back up my tapes and vinyl to the NAS."

that bit, I'm not sure of many devices that will do everything you want. Bear in mind there isn't much point ripping tapes to 24-bit, 16-bit would be plenty, given the limitations of the format.

Yeah, that's pretty close to it. Would rather have the coaxial link.

the 24/192 would be overkill for tape for sure, but ideal for my vinyl.
