I bought the Squeezebox Wireless Network Music Player ages ago and only really just started putting the time in to using it again - i am having to rerip all my cds in lossless - i didn't buy the duet - i read somewhere that you could use the ipod to control it - is this just the iphone or can you buy a touch to use as would much prefer this to the duet remote - any ideas?

thanks

You can use the touch or iphone. I presently use the touch with ipeng software. I would visit the slimdevices site to see what is available, the last time I looked there were 3 different software vying for your £5. I'm happy with the ipeng though, it works flawlessly on my system. I don't use the touch for anything else!

thats all i want it for - will never leave the house - how easy is it to set up????
Still not worked out how to get slimserver to recognise artwork although not really used it much yet

I use mp3tag and mediamonkey for tagging and adding artwork and EAC for ripping to FLAC. Once ripped to FLAC I batch convert using Foobar2000. All these programs are free. How have you tagged it? As I said, I've found mp3tag to be the best and occasionally for tweaking, mediamonkey. The ipeng software was a breeze to setup, it took seconds!

You can also add artwork using album art downloader available HERE
