JohnDuncan:Clicky

(windows only though for the moment...)

I have this app and was just wondering if I was being thick. Is there a way to view your play lists or do you always have to search for artists?

Right, you can use your existing playlists and new playlists created on your Windows Spotify. What you need to do is copy the playlist's URI to someting accessible by your Touch - I copy it to my Yahoo email account (right click the playlist name and hit 'copy spotify URI') Make sure when you paste it the URI is expanded. Then using your Touch copy and paste that URI into Remoteless via the playlists tab at the bottom. Only problem is you can't view and select certain tracks. You have to start the playlist and toggle through the tracks.

Hope this helps.

Blimey that sounds a bit convoluted, does that mean I would have to copy each playlist URI? I have each album under a new playlist so would I have to do this for each album? if so I think it would be easier to search on the app or get off my bum and look on the computer.....
Thanks very much for the explanation though!

I'm afraid so. For your albums I would just search for them on the app and add them as favourites, that would be easier plus you don't get the issue of not being able to select a track of your choice without scrolling through the whole playlist, as is the case with paylists which you copy across. I think there will be a few updates with this app in the near future. The latest update was a major overhaul and can now view ablum art among other things.

I have heard so much about this spotify thingy, decided to look into it...but is there any point in using it if iTunes is my main source of pc based music? And also, can anyone tell me if it is available in Ireland as we aren't listed on the list of countries??!!

Can't speak for availability in Ireland, but as for the iTunes question, I'd say absolutely yes. Especially now that Spotify integrates your iTunes library into its playlist - so that you can mix your own music and Spotify selections seamlessly.

oh right, thanks JD, but just got notification from their site that Ireand isn't part of their 'territories' and requires a credit card registered in one of their host countries...so won't be playing with them till they get themselves sorted over here !! lol

Hi JD,

Maybe you can help me in my quest of spotify and sonos, i have a thread with no defo answers in comp based music,

You say spotify integrates with itunes, so does that mean if i go premium and save offline into itunes i can then listen to this music through my sonos

You can intergrate your Itunes playlists/library into Spotify, but it doesn't work the other way round-Pretty sure that would infringe copyright...
