Spendor A6, Drab

I decided to buy a different HiFi mag to read on holiday this year and I nearly fell off me sunbed when I read the above.
The reviewer reckoned they are rather drab to look at and listen to, are not good value for money and the least engaging speaker in the test.
A bit different to whatWHF said in its July supertest “Outstanding speakers without any obvious flaws. These speakers are true must hear hifi.
It just shows one man’s meat is another man’s poison.

Please don’t shoot me here as I’m only the messenger and have never heard Spendor A6s although I may do this winter and have no axe to grind against them.

Just goes to show that a review is only somebody else's opinion. The only one that really matters when you are buying hi-fi is your own.

I bought the mag for a change and to read on the plane and for something to look at for 5 mins in the room etc. I only took it down the beach as I'd read my book and was waiting for the wife to finish hers so I could read that. I'd read 2 Sebastian Foulks books and needed to give me brain a rest.
