Spec Me: Receiver and speaker package, £1500

As title really,

I am in the market for a good receiver and speaker package in the £1500 market.

Not bothered about brands.. although I would prefer a "Speaker" package, over a "style" speaker package.

I have my eye on something from Onkyo, or that Pioneer award winner reviewed recently, but I am open to suggestions on all accounts.

Creative Audio do nice packages deals on various combinations of receiver andÿspeakers, style and conventional alike.ÿ

Something like one of Yamaha 863, Onkyo 606/706, Denon 1909 or Sony 2400ES plus one of Kef 2005.3, Mission M Cube, Q Acoustics (several models) etc. Should have enough left over for some decent cables.

I would spend around £500-600 on the amp and the rest on the speakers. And if you can find £200 more i would consider the Yamaha ax863se with B@W 865 or the Tannoy Mercury F customs with F4 custom Floorstanders, both five star winners which went head to head with the 865 theatre just scraping it. Also worth considering is the Monitor Audio Rs90av at £1000.
