Hello,

I purchased a DAC and New Amp a couple of months ago, am very very happy with the results, although need to upgrade speakers to get the most out of new kit. I have Audiolab M-DAC and and M-PWR amp, reasonable speaker cables (will be upgrading these too), and XLR interconnect (just because I needed a new interconnect!) - however still have my old Cambridge Audio 5-Series (£90) speakers...

I need new speakers, however I don't with to blow my nextdoors head of with volume and bass and live in a semi! - but still need the quality as well... and as small a profile I can get away with... I listen to all sorts of music and tbh everything sounds awseome since upgrade and timing is just fantastic, just need more calrity of the detail and a more dynamic sound if that makes sense...?

Appriciate any suggestions - budget - well £200 would be good, stretch to £300, tiny bit more if really worth it :)

Thanks

Andy

My son recently bought a pair of Q Acoustic 3020s and is impressed with them. You may also want to checkout the Dali Zensor 3 (I have the 7s and auditioned the 3s.)

I'm sure there are other recommendations in your price range: check the What Hi-Fi 2016 speaker roundup.

But, I wonder if your M-DAC / M-PWR deserves something a little better?

I found Tannoy dc6se standmounters gave a great sound with the mdac, i may even consider selling mine along with some stands, if youre interested, and somewhere near me. I dont want the hassle of postage.

I dont know if im allowed to offer a sale on this forum(apologies in advance if thats the case)

I would buy Acoustic Energy 101 or 301, both very detailed and dinamic sounding speakers

Dali Zensor and Q acoustics 3000 series are also for you
