Speakers for Rega Saturn-R/Elicit-R

What speakers are currently recommended for the combo above?

The room is fairly small, at 3m x 3.3m

I was thinking of Kudos X2, Rega RS3 - any others I should audition?

A former owner of an Elciit R here!

Both speakers you mentioned match well with the Elciit R, I used RS3 with my Elicit R before changing to a valve amp.

Now own the Kudos X2 and again lovely speakers.

I really don't think you will be dissapointed with either, but bearing in mind the Kudos are 'better' speakers I would audition both and pick which ones you like best.

You never know, you may prefer the RS3 at half the price - they are a competent speaker.

PS Get an audition at home as your room is quite small and may be suited to standmounts - Totem Rainmaker? Neat Motive SX1? Spendor S3?

If your budget allows, I'd deffo audition PMC Twenty 21. Having heard the 23s with the Elicit they sounded like a cracking combo.

I think, like Steve, that Totem should be a really good combo. WHFI tested the Elicit-R with the Rainmakers. Perhaps look at Spendor SA-1s, although they'll give a different presentation.
