I purchased this little system just over a month ago, to replace a Sony MHC System which failed.

Am very happy with it but am still using Sony Speakers.

What would be more suitable speakers for this system, only I only have a budget of £150 and don't think it's worth spending too much money on speakers that would not be beneficial to me

A local shop, (Adam&Jarrett) suggested Mordan Short worth £200. Are there any others?

I think speakers along the lines of the Q Acoustic 2010's or the 2020's would be good place to start; as would the Tannoy F1 Customs or possibly the Wharfedale 10.1's.

Done forget you could do to budget in for speaker stands and speaker cable as well (or have you already got these)?

Thanks for reply! I have speaker cable and Alphason Speaker stands on my old Technics system in my bedroom which I can use.

I will have a look at those speakers and will try them out before I buy. The Wharfedale speakers look good value!

I also use the Denon system with my Macbook Pro, an improvement from using Computer Speakers!

It was the RX88. I still have the speakers SS-RX88. The tape deck failed last year but i didn't use it for that. Sometimes I think that the Denon struggles with these speakers, especially since I have a Subwoofer installed as well.

I'm happy with the Denon anyway now that i can attach my Sansui FR-D35 turntable without using my battery powered Pre-Amp.

im using simmilar speakers from a sony system and they can be big on bass.so the denon wont make miracles.
