My current kit is a CA 740a/740c combination bought with Mezzo 2s as part of a deal at Richer Sounds. I'm really impressed with the detail and energy of the system, but find it gets a bit 'zingy' and bright at times. I've run the system in for about six weeks now so that side of things should be settled.

I really like the 740a/c combination and tried them with some old Tannoy F2s recently to isolate all that energy, and found they calmed the sound significantly, but obviously didn't deliver anywhere near the detail and energy of the Mezzos. Therefore I am considering a change of speakers as I find the CA kit a bit TOO fast with the Mezzo 2s (though they are fine speakers in their own right). Top of my list are the new (ish) Tannoy Revolution Signature DC6s, which I have heard good things about in the media. I notice, however, they hardly get a mention on the forums and they are really hard to track down for an audition (I live in Bristol).

Has anyone got/heard them and are they a little more laid back than the Mezzos? How do they compare? Any other ideas for neutral/natural speakers in the 300-700 price range (not the B&W 685s, heard em and nodded off)? Many thanks all
