I currently have ms914 fronts, kef 2001.2 centre/rears and ms 309i sub. Have i got the balance right for a home cinema system. I mainly use it for movies and sometimes music. I only want 5 speakers max. Shud i use smaller speakers only as i only want smaller ones for my rears or does it not matter. Was thinkin of changing the ms914s for b&w 685s and the kef 2001.2 for 3001se eggs. Any thoughts wud be greatfully received.

You should stick to a single manufacturer for all the speakers.

The 685s as your front pair will be fine, but would recommend B&W M1s for your centre & your surround speakers (Yes. You can buy them indivdually.)

The 685s and the M1s use the same tweeter, this should give a more cohesive surround experience.

The sub is less inportant in matching the other speakers, but you might want to take a listen to B&Ws award winning subs.
