Speaker Isolation Pads - Any One Better than Another??

I've just purchased some used speaker stands and they dont come with any anti vibration pads. Are there any that are particularly recommended or are they all a much of a muchness?

Indeed. Blutack it is.

Just to be clear, you don't want to isolate your speakers from the stands, you want to couple them. The idea is that the stand/speaker combination moves together, providing additional support for the speaker.

Having the speaker wobble about on top of the stand does no good at all.

Then get one of those nice heavy (1kg) polished stainless steel round doorstops with rubber inserts and base and place on top.

They can make a huge difference, depending on your speakers/stands/floor.

Yes, very similar. They should have a good flat rubber base.

I got mine from Aldi a couple of years ago. Only cost me 3 or 4 quid/piece.

Believe it or not, they actually look smart on top of speakers.

I used blutac (or prestic is your south african) but i found the gel isolation pads better .
More solid on tannoy dc6 and parington dreadnaught stands

stillpoints are the best but cost a fair wack more than blu tack.
