Speaker Help

Please help all you professionals out there......

Im fairly new to hi fi but I currently have a cambridge azur 640a amp a Tannoy sub and am looking to upgrade my Mission 702's as there is a lack in punchy bass.

I'm looking to replace the two ways with 3 ways... But would like clarity and the sort of speaker that would survive without a sub. So we move onto budget certainly no more than £1000 and I have kind of settled on either the mission mx6, r focal chorus 726v or focal chorus 726 as all seem to have decent reviews for the money but which ones. So does anyone have experience of either of these unfortunately listening to them is out unless i am prepared to do a lengthy drive as im in Cornwall.

I must say for the money the build looks better on the focals but its sound quality with a decent bass punch im after.

They will only be used for Music not movies and in a 24ft square room.

Hey d4, I don't know too much about floorstanding speakers at this price point....but surprised the monitor audio rx6 aren't on your shortlist.they are highly regarded I believe.

Hi thanks for your reply... There's a funny story behind that I spent about two months researching and finally decided on the Monitor Audio RX8 I spotted at an audio store on line in the sale for £650. So went to call them to order and they had gone bust!... Now I cant find them any cheaper anywhere than about £1000. Whereas the Focal's are £550 So my question is are they twice the speaker wish I could hear them all it would make a massive difference that's the problem with internet.....
