Speaker cable lengths???

I've read that your speaker cable lengths should be the same - which makes sense. But does this mean that all 6 cables in a 5.1 setup should be the same length? This would obviously leave huge excess in the front cables.

Maybe the two rear cables should be the same length and the front left and right should be the same? What about the centre and sub?

In a 5.1 set up the lengths of speaker pairs in the system should be the same length eg 2m fronts ,5m rears. As for the centre this is a single speaker in the system and my advise is to run as short a length as you need as your amp will adjust any delay on auto setup.

The Sub does not run on speaker cable it runs on a single sub-phono cable and simply buy the length you need from amp to sub.
