Soundbar For Samsung UE55HU7500

I'll be taking delivery of this TV on Friday and would very much like to add a single unit Soundbar (no additional sub). The two options I am considering are the Sonos Playbar and Canton DM 9. However, after searching the Internet I'm unsure of their compatibility with my new TV. I already have the Sonos sub as part of my HI-Fi, so would ideally like the Playbar. I'd intend to run either system directly from the TV, which will also be connected to Sky and a BD player. Will both these sources play correctly when passed through the TV? Hi Ali

Yes, the Playbar would be a good option (especially if you already have the sub in hand) and would work with your set-up through the TV's optical output and bar's optical input.

Just bear in mind that the Playbar doesn't decode DTS.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! The lack of DTS decoding was my major concern, what are the implications of this with my proposed setup? I did read somewhere that some Blu Rays don't play any sound when played through the soundbar. However, I assume this is when the TV isn't used as the intermediary. I Just want an improvement on the TVs speakers, but without all the additional speakers for proper surround sound. Thanks again for your time In replying.
