sound from PS3

I have a PS3 attached vis HDMI to Sony 3200ES amp,6:1 KEF 2005.2 speakers. Question: how do I get the best sound from a BluRay disc.Do I set the amp to Linear PCM,or do I set it to AUTO(Dolby/DTS)?
