Sony WiFi ready tvs - what do i need to connect to wireless network?

do i have to use a sony wireless adaptor or can i use any?

Sony's line is that only the Sony wi-fi dongle will work. However, we have had success using a Buffalo wireless adaptor at work.

Certainly there will be no list of 'compatible devices' from Sony - the emphasis is squarely on the official product.

matt could you please let me know which buffalo adaptor as don't really want to pay £75 for the sony one and the two i had at home that i have tried neither as recognised by the tv
