Last week Sony updated the firmware of the Sony WF-1000XM4 and the sound really remained more detailed and clearer at the previous equalizer settings. I use the Tidal service. The question arises, do I need to upgrade to the new XM5?

Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds is one the WORST AND MOST TERRIBLE HIGH PRICE EARPHONES. DO NOT BUY THE PRODUCT IS NOT FIT FOR USE.

The engineers who designed this earphones ought to have a baton up his ass, this earphones in his ears, shot and FED to the crocodiles

Now here are the list of problem

1) controls are not user friendly. imagine trying to tap tap tap alot to increased volume?
2) NOISE CANCELLING REALLY SUCKS. - try using this on a train or plane or even taxi and you will understand
3) not comfortable in the fit
4) equalizer sucks and as you tries to tune up the base as you tried to muffler out noisy environment, the pitch of the base remains while the pitch of the vocal and mid range shot up thus causing someone to increase the volume and hurt the hears
5) trying to switch between noise cancellation, ambience and others is ridiculous, MINIMAL EFFECT.
6) Trying out different size cones also dont work
7) as the volume increases, the pitch also increases causing possible damage to ears
8) because of the design when sweating, not sure it would stay fit.

SOMEONE SHOULD START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST SONY FOR FAILED PRODUCT AND WHERE THE PRODUCT FAILS TO MEET THE PURPOSE.

SONY SHOULD REFUND ALL CUSTOMERS WHO BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Another reason NOT to buy them: Sony have discontinued selling replacement earbud tips, so if yours degrade or you lose one, you have to try find a sub-par replacement from Amazon which do not look great or have the same fit.
