The company so far makes a lost of £165m this year, to close 8 factories worldwide and 16 thousand stag to be laid off.....

Only the Ps3 division is making less losses?

The LCD division is making a lost as well.........

Sony needs to do the magic it did with the trinitron all those years ago but with LCD for the future.

Even T3 said their sets didn't have the contrast levels compared with the Philips or Samsung.

According to the Evening Standard, Sony's losses will hit £636m this year. I can't say I'm too surprised really. I can see from your statement that 16,000 stag are to be sacked, that they clearly have a number of problems. Firstly, hiring animals is not particularly useful in the manufacturing of electronics, and secondly, they may be breaching equality regulations by sacking only male deer.

It's not fair to criticise Sony for streamlining the animal quotient of their workforce in these challenging economic times; or would you rather there were casualties from 'human' departments first? Surely none of us are that callous? I'm not sure how Sony will test their high impact screens following this massive cull, however...
