I wasn't planning on getting a new tv until 2018. But we will have to see what happens with sony and ces in general☺

The Sony OLED TVs look like they are going to be quite cheap, finally with Black Friday just gone too OLED TVs are now more wallet friendly:

only way i will be getting an OLED is if they have a high enough peak brightness. 1000 nits would be the minimum for me to upgrade, else a FALD panasonic with 512 zones would be pretty close to the OLED's black levels with much higher brightness.

it's not like any other manufacturers are developing another oled to compete with LG.

Even the louwe Oled is an LG.

And that is effin expensive.

There is a lot more than just the panel that determines the picture quality. Loewe has high quality components that goes into making the TV.

No where near as good as plasma black levels when calibrated, never mind any where near oled black levels....
