Sony kdl40v3000.

Hi I would like to ask is there a big difference between 50hz tvs and 100hz tvs I have heard so many mixed reports that I am unsure what tv to go for I have found the Sony kdl40v3000 on the internet for a great price but it is a 50hz tv so can anyone tell me if the upgrade to 100hz is worth the extra money which is quite a bit more.

100HZ refreshes the screen quicker and is beneficial when watching fast moving scenes or events such as football / motor racing etc.

Personally, when I was looking for a new TV 50hz sets were given no consideration.

I have the 100HZ Panasonic 37" Plasma which I am very pleased with.

bear in mind 100Hz isnt that special on plasmas because they already beat LCDs motion handling by far!
