Have any owners of this product experienced any faults with there TV's? Or had difficulty trying to claim on your Sony warrenty for this product when living in the UK?
My problem is:
Bought the set brand new off the internet & paid using paypal & not from a Sony Centre. TV manufactured in Feb 2008 in spain, Broke down needing new screen 6 weeks later after very little use.
Sony local centre trying to be very helpful, but can't honour the agreement on 2 parts:
1st part is the receipt in paypal is to a person & not business as that is how it was set up & secondly Sony won't honour as the TV model number isn't a UK specification code.
This dissappoints me and I feel that it is a bit naughty of Sony not to allow any leeway on this as clearly there is a manufacturing issue if a TV only last 6 weeks with less than 200hrs usage.
It was this magazine with it's 5 star rating for the tv set that persuaded me to purchased it. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
